Step-by-step instructions to easily assemble your INOVATIV Apollo workstation cart.
The Apollo’s quick tool-less setup is a result of the unique and proprietary design of the INOVATIV dovetail caster receiver + rail system. This transforms the Apollo from a compact case to a functional and mobile workstation cart. The caster installation is simple and intuitive, and the following instructions will get you up and running quickly.
Apollo Workstation Assembly
1. Pull open / release all four (4) Pack-Latches (Yellow Circles).
2. Lift off the top tray and set it aside, resting it on the two rubber bumpers (Red Circles). Remove the four (4) black plastic corner locators and store in a safe place. You will need these when breaking down the workstation cart.
3. Remove the long component bag and four (4) wheels (bagged) from inside the cart.
4. Open the component bag and remove the four (4) socks from the upright posts, two (2) socks from the Accessory Crossbars, and two (2) socks from the Overtube Quick Grips.
5. Install all four (4) upright posts into the Apollo’s bottom corners. First open each of the four (4) orange corner-cam levers, then depress the large snap button located at the bottom of each upright post. With the button depressed, insert the upright post into the corner. You should hear an audible “snap” when the upright posts are located correctly into the corner. Tighten all four (4) corner-cam levers.
6. Clamp the Accessory Crossbars onto the upright posts. Use the laser etching on the upright posts to help align the Accessory Crossbar height.
SPECIAL NOTE: Install the Accessory Crossbar with the two (2) rubber bumpers on the same end of the Apollo that has the skate wheels.
7. Tilt the cart vertically onto the skate wheels. The workstation cart will also rest on the rubber bumpers, located on the Accessory Crossbars.
8. While the cart is still vertical, prepare to install the top tray by making sure the corner-cam levers have been opened.
9. Line up the top shelf to the upright posts and slide the top shelf partially onto the bottom upright posts, closest to the ground (Orange Circles). Loosen the Accessory Crossbars if you are having difficulties with the upright posts aligning and inserting into the corners.
10. Continue to slide the top tray onto the top upright posts. When all four upright posts are aligned you can push the top shelf until the upright posts are fully immersed into the corners. Tighten / close each of the corner-cam levers.
11. Un-bag each wheel from their drawstring wheel bags. Separate the swivel and fixed wheels. The swivel wheels can be easily identified by the attached foot brakes and are numbered #1 and #2.
12. With the cart tilted on its end, open the casters orange cam-lock lever located on the fixed wheels (#3 and #4) and slide the casters onto the bottom dovetail where #3 and #4 are etched. Slide the caster until the bearing housing dead-ends against the raised socket cap screw, located on the dovetail. Tighten the casters cam-lock lever.
13. Next, install the swivel wheels (#1 and #2), by first opening the casters orange cam-lock lever and then sliding each caster onto the top dovetail where #1 and #2 are etched. Slide the caster until the bearing housing dead-ends against the raised socket cap screw, located on the dovetail. Tighten the casters cam-lock lever.
SPECIAL NOTE: All the dovetail cam-lock levers will face to the inside of the cart with the cam-lock lever clamping outward.
14. Tilt back the Apollo so that it sits on all 4 wheels. Install the Overtube Quick Grips and finally adjust the Accessory Crossbars and Overtube Quick Grips to your desired heights and positions.
Breaking Down the Workstation Cart
1. First, make sure that all of your items have been removed from the workstation cart's top and bottom shelves.
2. Loosen all of the corner-cam levers on the Top Shelf and tilt the cart vertically onto the skate wheels and rubber bumpers located on the Accessory Cross Bar.
3. Remove the top tray and set it aside.
4. Remove the swivel wheels first by opening each caster's cam-lock lever and sliding off the dovetail. Do the same with the fixed wheels and store them in their drawstring wheel bags. Keep the swivel and the fixed wheels separate as they fit in a specific orientation inside the cart.
5. With the wheels removed, lay the cart flat onto the ground and remove the Accessory Crossbars, Overtube Quick Grips, and then each of the upright posts by first opening each corner-cam lever and depressing the snap button in at the bottom of the tube (Image 6) and pulling them out of the corner. Place each of the upright posts back into their socks to protect them from scratching each other and then place them into the large component bag.
SPECIAL NOTE: Review the image laying out the exact way to fit the wheels and component bag inside the cart before packing (Image 7).
6. With the bottom shelf corner-cam levers open, insert the black plastic corner locators into the corners and close the corner-cam lever. Next, lay the top shelf over the top of the bottom shelf (now including the wheels and component bag) and align each corner over the black plastic corner locators. Connect each of the Pack Latches to close the cart tightly.
General Information
Glass cleaners, all-purpose cleaners, and automotive quick detailers work well for cleaning your INOVATIV cart and its accessories. Be cautious not to directly spray onto the product, and instead spray onto a cloth and use the cloth to wipe down the cart and its accessories.
If your cart is used outside and exposed to the sun for long periods of time, using a UV protectant like 'Armor All' will keep the powder coating from losing its sheen. Use it like a car wax: wet a portion of a rag with the protectant and wipe all of the painted parts. Dry with a second rag, and then buff.
