Motorized Apollo Assembly Instructions

Frame 81-1

Setting up the Apollo:

  1. Separate the top and bottom halves by pulling and releasing all four (4) pack latches. Then lift off the top shelf and set it aside on the two rubber bumpers.
  2. Remove the four (4) black plastic corner locators and store in a safe place. You will need these when breaking down the cart.
  3. Remove the long component bag from inside the cart. Open the bag and remove the four (4) socks from the upright posts, two (2) socks from the Accessory Crossbars, and  one (1) sock from the Overtube Quick Grip equipped with the Hydraulic Brake lever.
  4. Install the four (4) upright posts in the corners of the bottom tray by first opening each of the four (4) orange corner-cam levers on the bottom shelf. Depress the large snap button located at the bottom of the upright post while sliding the upright post into the corner. An audible “snap” will be heard when the upright post is correctly in place. Repeat this with the remaining upright posts. Then, tighten all four (4) corner-cam levers.
  5. Prepare to install the top tray by opening the four(4) corner-cam levers on the top shelf. Then, line the top shelf corners with the upright posts and gently slide them together. When all four (4) upright posts are aligned, push the top shelf until the  upright posts are fully sunk into the corners. Tighten and close each of the four (4) corner-cam levers.
  6. Clamp the crossbars on the tubes with the logo right side up, using the laser etching on the tubes to evenly mount the crossbars. Install the crossbar with rubber bumpers on the same end with the skate wheels.
  7. Connect the Overtube Quick Grip mounted with the Hydraulic Brake Lever to the front (short end without the power distribution) left-side upright post by twisting the grip to the left until the clamp is open. Place the handle around the post with the hinge facing out. Close the clamp and tighten the handle to the right to complete.
  8. To locate the right side handle, unlock and open the Docking Drawer of the bottom shelf. Remove the Overtube Quick Grip and Throttle from the foam. Connect the throttle and grip assembly to the right-side upright post by following the same directions in step 7. Then, insert the power cable into the power receptacle located at the bottom of the throttle assembly.

Powering up and using the Motorized System:

  1. Operation: To operate this motorized Apollo, first ensure the red switch on the battery is switched to ‘ON’.  Then press the 'power' button located on the throttle assembly and ensure the RED LED indicator is visible.  Use the toggle switch to select either 'Forward' or 'Reverse', and gently press the throttle to engage the motorized wheels.
  2. Throttle Adjustment: To rotate the throttle to the most comfortable position, loosen the hand grip, turning the grip to the left. Rotate and raise or lower to the desired position.
  3. Battery/Charging: To charge the battery, simply connect a standard 120V power cord to the power inlet on the Power Plate. The battery requires approximately 6 hours to charge from completely empty to full.  View charging status by observing status indicator lights on the battery charger.
    1. To check the battery level, ensure the battery is switched to 'on', and then press the battery level indicator located on the front of the battery.
    2. To remove the battery from the baseplate, disconnect the charger and the XLR power connection. Next, slide the battery forward to remove it from the baseplate. Whether the power switch is on or off does not affect charging.
    3. WARNING: Continuous charging once the battery is full is not recommended.  If the Power Plate is connected to external power for extended periods, it's recommended to disconnect the charger from the battery.  Long periods of continuous charging while the battery is full may shorten the battery life.
  4. Troubleshooting:  If the LED indicator on the throttle does not light up when pressed, ensure the power switch on the battery is switched to 'on' and the battery is sufficiently charged.
    1. If there is still no power to the LED indicator, first check the throttle cable connections and the XLR connections to the control box, and that the battery is securely mounted in the baseplate. Use the provided key to unlock the battery from the base plate to check the battery connection to the base plate.
    2.  If the LED indicator is lit but the cart does not move, ensure the 'Left' and 'Right' wheel connectors are securely connected to the control box.
    3.  If the Power Plate is connected to power but the battery is not charging, check the power connection to the charger.  If there are still no indicators lit on the charger, check the fuse in the battery charger to ensure it still has continuity.

If the cart still does not move, the battery not charging, or any other issues with the motorized components, contact Make Your Cart Go at info@makeyourcartgo.com or (323) 213-9945 for help with troubleshooting the Apollo Motorized components.

Breaking down the Motorized Apollo:

  1. First, remove all personal items, clear out drawers, and uninstall any accessories.
  2. Loosen all corner clamp levers, remove the top shelf and set it aside on its rubber bumpers.
  3. Remove the Accessory Crossbars and place them into their protective socks and into the component bag.
  4. Remove the Overtube Quick Grip equipped with the Hydraulic Brake Lever and place it into the protective sock. Set it on the bottom shelf, clear of other items.
  5. Unplug the power cable from the Throttle, then remove the Overtube Quick Grip and place it into the foam located in the Bottom Locking Drawer. Leave the power cable on the bottom shelf, clear of other items.
  6. Remove each of the upright posts by first opening each corner-cam lever on the bottom shelf and depressing the snap button in where the tube connects to the corner (Image 6). Pull each one out of the corner and place them into their protective socks and into the large component bag.
  7. With the bottom shelf corner-cam levers open, insert the black plastic corner locators into the corners and close the corner-cam lever. Next, lay the top shelf over the top of the bottom shelf (now including the component bag) and align each corner over the black plastic corner locators. Connect each of the Pack Latches to close the cart tightly.

Safety and Risk

Safety Disclaimer

Our Motorized Workstations are powerful machines designed for use by adults in fully controlled and safe environments. As the purchaser/owner of the motorized workstation you are responsible for keeping the operator safe at all times.

Your motorized workstation has great capabilities but it is imperative that the operator is in control during the entire learning process and gives full attention at all times. Because it is impossible to anticipate every situation or condition which can occur while operating, INOVATIV, Inc., makes no representation about the safe use of the motorized workstation under all conditions. There are risks associated with the use of a motorized workstation which cannot be predicted or avoided, and which are the sole responsibility of the operator.

Battery Use Risk

Improper use, care, or charging of a lithium Ion battery could cause serious injury to the product, property, or persons. If the battery is tampered with or damaged in any way, do not use the product and find a hazardous waste removal center immediately.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to maintain safe storage and treatment of the battery at all times.
Only use the charger that came with your product. Try to keep your device out of extremely high or low temperature locations. Do not place the battery in direct sunshine, or store the battery inside cars in significant hot or cold weather.

Do not expose the battery to water or allow the battery to get wet. Do not continue charging the battery if it does not recharge within the specified charging time. Doing so may cause the battery to become hot, explode, or ignite. Do not use your device if you notice any damage to the battery. If you suspect damage to the battery, email our support or dispose of the battery and order a replacement. Do not disassemble or modify the battery in any way. Modifying the electronics significantly increases the risk of explosion.

Apollo General Care:

Cleaning

Glass cleaners, all-purpose cleaners, and automotive quick detailers work well for cleaning your INOVATIV cart and its accessories. Do not spray cleaners directly onto the cart. Instead spray onto a cloth and use the cloth to wipe down the cart and its accessories.

Sun Exposure

If your cart is used outside and exposed to the sun for long periods of time, using a UV protectant like Armor All will keep the powder coating from losing its sheen. Use it like a car wax: wet a portion of a rag with the protectant and wipe all of the painted parts. Dry with a second rag, and then buff.

Welcome to the family!
